About

The group maps surgical resources, secures funding for reliable power and infrastructure, and develops a white paper with recommendations for capacity building and backlog management after disasters.

Challenge: Access to surgery in conflict zones and accumulated surgical backlogs.

Beneficiaries: Surgical providers and patients in conflict‑affected countries; ministries and humanitarian actors.

Current Projects

  • Partnership with Intersurgeon and Sudanese Consortium for Surgical Development (SCSD)
  • Development of a dedicated trauma map and white paper

2026 Milestones

  • Publication of white paper with policy recommendations
  • Increased utilization of Intersurgeon mapping for Sudan
